Samuel Kissous part of the Realscreen Summit 2022 advisory board

As the entertainment industry prepares for the return of in-person events and conferences, organizers of the Realscreen Summit are planning its next edition as an in-person event, taking place in Austin, Texas from Tuesday, January 25 to Friday, January 28, 2022.
A complementary virtual event — dubbed Realscreen Summit Lite — will be programmed for February 7-11, 2022.
A survey conducted by Realscreen last month confirmed that the international unscripted and non-fiction community is eager to return to in-person meeting and networking, and overwhelmingly indicated that executives across disciplines are going to be ready to travel in Q1 2022.
“We are committed to staging a world-class event in Austin and reconnecting a community that thrives on human interaction,” said Claire Macdonald, VP and publisher, Realscreen. “The health and safety of our delegates and staff is of paramount importance, and all planning will factor this in.”
For those who are unable to travel, a virtual Realscreen Summit Lite will be available. The program will feature a handful of live panels and keynotes, limited speed pitching opportunities, the Summit’s renowned 30 Minutes With sessions and abundant speed networking, as well as access to panels, keynotes and 30 Minutes With sessions recorded during the in-person edition of Realscreen Summit in Austin, made available on demand. Delegates of the in-person event will receive complimentary access to the virtual event.
The pair of events will be programmed with the support of an industry-spanning advisory board, which includes: Cori Abraham, SVP development, documentary & crime, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming; Brie Bryant, SVP, original programming, Lifetime; David Collins, co-founder and executive producer, Scout Productions; Kate Harrison, president, Cream Productions; Mioshi Hill, president, Sirens Media; Samuel Kissous, president, Pernel Media; Jane Latman, president, HGTV; Madison Merritt, EVP development, Entertainment One Television; Nick Smith, EVP formats, all3media International; Brian Speiser, international media and TV agent, ICM Partners; Ellen Windemuth, CEO, Waterbear Network; CJ Yu, head of unscripted development, global formats, Amazon Studios and Andrew Zimmern, principal and executive producer, Intuitive Content.
